Hamilton 2 v 0 Clyde

Sat, 19th Apr 2008 5:40pm

The relegation battle will go to the last day of the season as defeat at New Douglas Park coupled with Morton's easy win over Dunfermline leaves it all to play for.

Clyde started the match minus the injured Jorg Albertz and there was little incident until the home side were gifted an opening goal. David Hutton failed to deal with a cross into the box and Neil McGregor punched the resultant shot off the line, conceding a penalty and earning a red card at the same time. Stevenson made no mistake from the spot.

Richard Offiong made it two before half-time with a low shot from inside the box and Clyde rarely looked like troubling that lead as the game petered out and confirmed Accies as First Division champions.

The Bully Wee will now have to better Morton's result at Firhill by at least a goal next week to avoid going into the play-offs.
