Former German international Jorg Albertz and experienced striker Gary McSwegan have signed for The Bully Wee until the end of the season.

Both men, 37, will bring vast experience to the Clyde squad during the season's run-in.

There was particular interest in Albertz as he took part in a training session with the team this afternoon, but the former Rangers midfielder was keen to deflect the attention away from himself when he spoke to the Official Website about his arrival at Broadwood:-

"It was an easy decision for me. I knew about the circumstances at Clyde and when Bomber asked me I had no second thought. John and Andy Goram are good friends and if there is something I can do to help them and the team then there is no question about me doing it.

"When I started my career at Fortuna Dusseldorf we were relegated twice so I know how tough it is for smaller clubs to survive. It is very important for Clyde to stay in the First Division and then John can build something next season.

"That is the only story here. Despite some reports it's not about me making a comeback - it is a favour I am doing for John, Andy and the club. There's eight games left and I will give 100% when I play to try and help my friends and the other boys in the team. After that we will see if I can help the club any more.

"I am not 100% match fit but with my experience I hope I will give John another option. The players here are very fit, they have the heart and they are trying their best. I've been a young player and I know the situation they are in just now.

"If any of them want any advice during the run in I will be here for them."
