Clyde became only the second team to take a point away from New Douglas Park this season after a hard-fought Boxing Day stalemate.

Windy conditions made playing football on the artificial surface even more difficult than usual and The Bully Wee were forced to defend doggedly for long spells as the home side pressed forward.

However, Christian Smith, Michael McGowan and Gary Arbuckle all came close to scoring during first half forays.

The second period was similar to the first with the majority of the match being played in Clyde's half and Neil McGregor completed a brilliant last-gasp tackle to prevent a certain Accies goal, after the referee unfortunately missed a clear foul in the build up.

At the other end, ex-Clyde 'keeper Bryn Halliwell tipped Kevin Bradley's long range strike onto the underside of the bar and the same player wasted a glorious chance to cut the ball back in injury time, instead shooting into the side netting.
