Following a discussion with Police, Clyde Football Club have been asked to issue this statement to inform supporters of a new matchday arrangement:-
“As a result of match officials being subjected to a degree of personal abuse that was completely unacceptable, the area immediately adjacent to the tunnel has been cordoned off on police instruction following a recent complaint by a referee.
“The police have advised that this sanction will remain until they see an improvement in the situation. The club recognise that it is a small minority who indulge in such behaviour, but would re-iterate that this will not be tolerated.
“The stadium is monitored by CCTV and the club will co-operate with the police in identifying and dealing with any offenders.”
