The club has received the bad news that talented central defender Craig McKeown will have to wait a number of weeks before his season can start. Colin Hendry commented, “Craig underwent surgery in the close season but unfortunately he ended up getting an infection in the wound. It has set him back quite a bit of time which is a shame as we wanted him in for pre-season.

“At the moment we are expecting him to be back around the start of September. That’s how long it’s going to take to fix the problem he has.

“We know how important he is to the team and it’s a setback we could have done without.”
