Club Statement

Clyde Football Club would like to assure its supporters, sponsors and staff that contrary to weekend press reports the club does not have any external debt. The figures referred in the article relate to the period prior to the club entering a Creditors’ Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) and in no way reflect the current financial status of the club.

One article suggested that the figures stated were “the last available accounts at Companies House.” This was again incorrect, indeed in last year’s accounts a small operating profit was recorded.

The Board has ensured that the club has consistently adhered to the demands of the CVA. The Board of Management at Clyde take seriously their responsibility in safeguarding the Bully Wee and building for its future success.

The club has contacted the newspapers in question and has requested that a correction is printed in future editions.
