Clyde 2 Hamilton 1

Clyde secured an excellent 2-1 victory against in form Hamilton this afternoon. The Bully Wee reacted magnificently to the blow of going behind following a superb McArthur strike from a Hamilton counter attack.

Hamilton were reduced to ten men during the first half, following a lunge from debutant Omar Rezgane on Clyde forward Roddy Hunter which the referee deemed a straight red offence.

Goals from McGregor and a great free kick by Eddie Malone from the edge of the box gave Clyde the points.

It was never a classic in football terms but the game certainly demonstrated the spirit within Joe Miller's side, as the team broke down an Accies side who made life difficult for Clyde. Billy Reid's side relied on a counter attacking style and nearly got the result they hoped for had it not been for the Bully Wee's great response to Accie's opener.
