Club Statement

In reply to this morning’s press reports, Clyde Football Club would like to reiterate that their only concern in all of this is to wish Mr McCabe well. We hope he makes a speedy recovery and is back on the football field as soon as possible.

The relationship between Clyde FC and Hamilton Academical, which previous to recent times was a very good one, has suffered, as a number of high profile individuals have moved between the clubs.

Whilst it takes two parties to come to an agreement, we at Clyde see this as a great opportunity to put all of this behind us and will stress to our fans and staff that this is time to act with dignity and to build bridges.

We can but hope that all others involved also seize the opportunity to move on, and like the medical staff on duty from both clubs on Saturday, behave in a professional and co-operative manner.
