Clyde enjoyed another positive performance by beating Stranraer by four goals to nil. Clyde opened the scoring with their third penalty in as many games. O'Donnell converting from the spot after Eddie Malone had been tripped.

Imrie was on target as Clyde asserted their authority but a setback was to come when Stevie Masterton so impressive at the weekend was substituted before half time due to injury, the central midfielder was replaced by Ruari McLennan (pictured left).

So Clyde went in at the interval leading by 2 goals to nil and indeed were unlucky not to be winning by a bigger margin with Kevin Bradley (pictured below) in particular being unfortunate not to score.

In the second half, McKenna was introduced for Malone and the youngster made an impact by adding a third and it was another youngster who capped a fine night by netting Clyde's fourth as David McGowan knocked home a rebound following further good work from Sean McKenna.

All in all a good nights work, sterner tests await but the confidence in the players is growing and the squad will be looking forward to playing in front of the Clyde support on Sunday when Hearts visit Broadwood.

Clyde team was:

Peter Cherrie, Robert Harris, Eddie Malone(Sean McKenna), Chris Higgins, Steven Masterton(Ruari MacLennan), Paul McHale, Craig Bryson(Trialist), Stephen O'Donnell, Kevin Bradley(David McGowan), Dougie Imrie, Michael McGowan(Trialist). Unused: David Scott(GK), Raymond Inglis.
