Michael Mcgowan Makes Northern Ireland Debut

By Gordon Thomson

Michael McGowan was part of the Northern Ireland U21 squad who returned victorious from their recent two game trip to Israel. The matches arranged in preparation for Northern Ireland's Euro Championship campaign were certainly competitive matches both times ending in a 1-0 victory for the Irish.

Michael featured from the start in the second game and will be hoping that he has done enough to impress NI U21 boss Roy Millar. He will find out soon enough as Northern Ireland face Wales in a friendly on 28 February before a double header against Liechtenstein in a match that is a preliminary round for UEFA's Under 21 Championship.
