Good Golly Malone!

Clyde stunned the football world today by beating Celtic by two goals to one. Goals from Craig Bryson and Eddie Malone sealed the memorable victory. An ecstatic Graham Roberts and Joe Miller took time out to speak to the website.

Graham spoke first: "As ever we displayed an energy and a passion and deserved to win but people will have to respect that we stopped Celtic playing . Joe and I are so proud of the players."

"We had belief as earlier in the season we had given Rangers a shock. Joe and I saw them at Hearts and Dougie (Bell) went and saw them a second time. We knew they had flaws at the back if we kept organised at the back then our energy in midfield and pace up front would give them problems."

"At half time we talked about the Hearts game and for them to stay focussed. At the end I needed to peel them off the ceiling but we told them that they have just shown all the managers that let them go what they are missing. I sensed it all week. In fact today in the hotel I knew we would win simply because of the way the players were acting. They were so relaxed. Joe and I were more nervous than the players!"

Joe continued: "It's not about money. They play every week and know they will not sit on the bench. It is the biggest day in their lives. Some have only played about twenty games in their career but they deserve it. I train them hard and I believe they are the hardest working team I've ever been with. They have energy, drive and pace I hope they get on a bigger stage one day. They are a team on and off the park."

"We were the butt of jokes and most of the comments came from people who have never seen us play. We play football. We opened up Celtic today by playing football not humping it up the park. Today is one of the best days in my career."
