Brechin City V Clyde Preview

Once more Graham Roberts has reported that, Paul McHale excepted, he has a fully fit squad for the trip to Brechin on Boxing Day. The Glebe Parkers are boosted by the return of ex-Clyde duo Alex Burns and Gary Bollan and will be determined to gain their first victory of the season.

Brechin of course were victors over Clyde in the Challenge Cup back in July and also drew with the Bully Wee in September so despite City's poor league form this is remain a difficult tie. "We know what to expect" were the words of Graham Roberts earlier in the week and Joe Miller echoed the same professionalism.

Joe commented: "Brechin just came up this season to the First Division and I think they've found it tough going. But we actually dropped a couple of points up there earlier in the season so we know we'll have to perform well to have any chance of leaving with the three points."

The severe frosts and freezing fogs of the central belt have fortunately not been replicated to date in the Angus area so the match would not appear to be in danger but overnight weather conditions may of course alter that fact so check news reports before travelling.
