Crew Numbers And Man U Anticipation Grow
Clyde Crew membership renewals have started flooding in at a record rate. Obviously the promise of a better and more expansive Clyde Crew for the coming season has seen loads of young Clyde fans wanting to rejoin, and a few new members are signing up too.
The Crew organisers have spoken to the new manager, Graham Roberts, and he is keen to be involved in a few Crew activities, details of which will be posted out or shown on the website as soon as they have been confirmed.
The new membership cards should be arriving with us soon, and the moment they arrive they will be sent out to all Crew members.
Clyde Crew members shouldn’t forget that when they show their membership card at our new sponsors, ProBowl in Kirkintilloch, they will get free shoe hire and there will also be a special offer voucher printed each week in the Clyde View.
ProBowl have also informed the Clyde Crew organisers that each member who wears their new Clyde Crew t shirt when they visit ProBowl will also get a free drink. So these are just a few reasons for Crew members to visit our new sponsors once the season starts.
The mascot for the Manchester United game has been chosen, and the lucky member is George McGarrity of Westhill near Aberdeen.
George’s grandad George Wilson, who lives in Glasgow, goes to every Clyde game, and he first took George to a match when he was just three years old. George will be the Clyde Crew mascot for the game and along with mascots provided by the match sponsor, Optical Express; he will lead the sides out on Saturday. So give George and the other mascots a big cheer on Saturday.
