Graham Roberts confirmed that Clyde will be one of the few clubs prior to the season starting that will be requesting a visit from a Grade 1 official. “Players and coaches need to know the rules. Too often people in football like to jump up and down, moan and criticise the referee without realising that the ref is only adhering to the rules.”

“It’s in my plans to get a referee along to Broadwood and talk to the players. It is not a common thing to do but I think it can only be good for us to spend that time and learn and hopefully that will help us in the season ahead.”
