John Potter Looks Set For St. Mirren

St Mirren Football Club’s Official Website has confirmed this evening that Clyde captain John Potter has signed a pre-contract with the Paisley club for next season.

This follows John’s confirmation to Clyde yesterday that he would not be accepting the offer of a long term full-time contract which had been made to him by Clyde on Tuesday 3 May.

It is not Clyde’s normal policy to comment on such contract talks but the offer made to John was entirely in keeping with the high regard in which he is held by everyone connected with Clyde. The manner of his handling of these negotiations only enhanced his reputation.

John has had an absolutely outstanding season for Clyde, representing the Club both on and off the park with distinction. Although we are very disappointed to lose his services we take this opportunity to wish John good luck in his future career.
