Graham Roberts Is The New Clyde Boss

At a 2.30pm press conference held today in a Glasgow city centre hotel, Clyde announced that former Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers and England player Graham Roberts is the new Bully Wee manager in succession to Billy Reid who tendered his resignation last month.

Making up the new management team at Broadwood will be former Aberdeen, Celtic and Dundee United player Joe Miller, who is a close friend of the new Clyde boss. “I’m looking forward to working with Joe Miller,” stated the new Manager. “I have known him for a long time and we trust each other with our lives.”

The appointment followed a Board meeting at Broadwood last night, at the end of a series of interviews which were completed earlier in the evening.

Forty-five year old Roberts, in addition to a glittering playing career, has had extensive non-League managerial experience management experience in England.

The ex-England internationalist, for whom the phrase “larger than life” could have been invented, emerged as the preferred candidate from a number of very impressive interviewees; Mr. Roberts starts work with immediate effect.
