The Young Ones

Billy Reid confirmed to the website tonight that tomorrow's game against St Johnstone presents a great opportunity for the younger players in the Clyde squad. "Obviously it would have been better to introduce the younger guys gradually but we've really no option for tomorrow, commented Billy. "I think we are finding the true cost of our programme in March."

Clyde head to Perth tomorrow with Simon Mensing, Darren Sheridan and Eddie Malone suspended. Gary Bollan, Scott Wilson and Gary Arbuckle are definitely out with Arbuckle (pictured left) having seen a specialist today in Edinburgh due to a persistent groin problem. Stuart Balmer and Jimmy Gibson also face late tests.

Billy continued: "As I've said before I couldn't have asked any more of my players this year and we're two wins off getting second place and we are determined to achieve that. Tomorrow is going to be a huge task for us but if we fail it will not be through lack of effort."
