Team News For Saints' Match

Billy Reid spoke to the website this afternoon as he continued to prepare for this evening's game with St Mirren. "The way the weather is at the moment I think the game should be ok but we need to make sure as the pitch was certainly unplayable this morning."

As regards team news for this evening, Billy was less optimistic. "We have major injury problems. Sheridan is suspended for the clash and Jones, Gibson, Halliwell, Potter, Arbuckle and Harty are all carrying knocks making them doubtful. We will have our work cut out to maintain the current run of form."

"Certainly St Mirren have their own problems for this evening as well," Billy continued, "so to an extent both teams are in the same boat. My major concern is not whether tonights game goes ahead or not, rather it is the cumulative effect of consistently playing Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday. Players that are carrying knocks will pick up some more. We don't want to throw all the earlier good work away but our hands are tied by the regulations that insist all our outstanding games have to be played in March."
