Tough Week Ahead

By Gordon Thomson

It might be derby week but Clyde fans could be forgiven for being slightly anxious as they look forward to the weekend clash with Partick Thistle. Billy Reid confirmed today to the website that both Darren Sheridan and Scott Wilson are suspended for the clash and midfielder Jimmy Gibson is in a race against time to be fit for the match.

Billy was defiant though. "It may look bad on paper as a number of other players are carrying niggling injuries as well, but I know that whoever is selected will give their all on Saturday. We have a young squad but they have a great attitude and they are all looking forward to this derby game".

Billy continued: "Despite recent results Partick have a good squad of players who are desperately looking for something to kick start their season. I'm sure they'll be trying their hardest to get that result they've been looking for against us. Saturday has the makings of a terrific match and we will certainly need the backing of our fans".
