Reid All About The Falkirk Match

Mon, 27th Sep 2004 12:00am

Billy Reid gave his post-match thoughts to the website's Cammy Macdonald after Clyde's first-ever visit to the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday.

"Disappointed to go in 1-0 down after the first half as we felt it was a sloppy goal, but I felt we deserved a point at the end of it. Falkirk are riding high and they have been scoring goals all the time, so we played with two banks of four with young Craig Bryson picking up Russell Latapy.

"And with Ian Harty up front on his own we tried to hit them on the break, and I feel that it worked. But Falkirk are a good side so to come here and take a point is very pleasing.

"Ian Harty is back scoring goals again which is especially pleasing and today I thought he played well, up front on his own, isolated. But he kept going, worked hard and got his goal in the end.

"I always said the League was the main priority, and when we have all our players back we will be strong at the back and give anyone a game. We have had players cup-tied recently but had Scot Wilson and Eddie Malone in today and it was pleasing to get a point.

I think today is the first time we have had two left-sided players on the park and it was always the plan to push Malone further forward.

"Gary Bolan has a wealth of experience which helps as we have a lot of young kids in the team and he helps them. He is a good pro and is great in the dressing room. He keeps it simple on the park and also has a presence in the air and plays the balls into the channels and keeps our shape. I thought he did that very well today.
