Clyde crashed out of the CIS Cup tonight at Tannadice, at the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline.

The Bully Wee looked good in the early stages but the tie remained goal-less until the thirty-fourth minute when Jim McIntyre headed the home side ahead. The margin doubled on the stroke of half-time when Barry Robson scored with an eighteen yard strike.

United's recent signing from Hibs, Grant Brebner, made it three with another header in the fifty-fourth minute and the scoring ended seven minutes later when Mark Wilson converted a penalty after Stuart Balmer was adjudged to have handled the ball.
