Alex Walker Signs For Clyde
Billy Reid has been at pains to point out in a series of interviews since the beginning of the season that survival in the First Division remains the Clyde priority this season.
Speaking to the website last nighr he added: “We will do everything we can to pile up the points as quickly as we can but I’m sure most Clyde fans recognise it’s going to be a season for the club to rebuild.’
This rebuilding effort is not without his restrictions, as he makes clear in the week’s Bully Wee-mail, but the Clyde squad was given a boost today with the signing of twenty-one year old midfielder Alex Walker from Rangers on a sixth-month deal.
Alex, who joined the Ibrox club as an S form signing, made two substitute appearances for Rangers’ first team in the SPL last season and is looking forward to greater first team opportunities with Clyde. “I am delighted to have added Alex Walker to the squad and he will feature at some stage tomorrow.” said the Manager after this afternoon’s signing formalities were concluded.
