Next Away Day: Dumfries

Mon, 8th Mar 2004 12:00am

A midweek trip to Palmerston Park may be the perfect remedy for players and supporters alike following Saturday's disappointment. Here is some info to help you make the trip south to see if winning ways can be restored...

WEATHER REPORT

Good weather is forecast but it will also be cold so be prepared!

HOW TO GET THERE

Car: Approaching Dumfries from the North or East you will reach the A75 Dumfries by-pass. Follow signs for Kilmarnock / Stranraer and when you reach the roundabout (the junction with the A76) turn left towards Dumfries. Go over a couple of roundabouts and when you reach the T junction (where you can see the Eagle Spread Inn) with a set of traffic lights, turn right onto the A780. A short way down this road turn right into Terregles Street for the ground. There is a fair amount of parking available at the 'Ice Bowl' behind the East Stand, otherwise there is some street parking.

Rail: Glasgow Central to Dumfries. Journey time 1 hour 45 minutes. Day return costs £10 adult, £5 child. The ground is just over a mile away and should take about 15 minutes to walk.
