Soccer Schools Press Release
Clyde Football Club are once again taking the lead and are engaging in a project that will give children from Cumbernauld, Glasgow and surrounding areas the opportunity to be involved in the new soccer school initiative; to bring football to the community and hopefully unearth stars of the future.
A multitude of posters offering information on how to get involved will be seen at most Asda and Safeway stores, and rail stations, in and around the Glasgow area. Maiden Outdoor Advertising Regional Director, Dick Weir, has kindly provided the advertising of the initiative, which has been seen as a positive step to providing sporting activities for the local community.
The Clyde Soccer Schools will offer the young participants quality coaching sessions provided by the club’s youth coaches. They would also be provided with a season ticket when they join so that they can go and see the first team when they are in action at Broadwood.
The Soccer Schools will also be used for talent identification, with the young players that show potential and promise being invited to participate in development squad sessions held at Broadwood Stadium with a view to being involved at professional youth level.
“Everyone at the club will be involved in the project with first team players visiting the schools to meet and offer advice to the young players. The club will also benefit by using the initiative for talent identification with players being invited to Broadwood for sessions within our youth development programme.”
If you want to register your son / daughter, please send their name, address, date of birth, age, telephone number and home e-mail address to jimstrathdee@clydefc.co.uk.
