Pitch Making Good Progress

Broadwood’s pitch has seen a marked improvement today and looks ready to host tomorrow’s Scottish Cup clash with Motherwell. Covers were layed on the pitch last night and removed this morning to allow the pitch access to the warmer air currently moving in, and this seems to have done the trick.

“There has been a big improvement today,” Alan Kernaghan said. “I’d say the pitch is playable at the moment, if still a little firm underneath. There are conflicting weather reports for tonight and tomorrow, but if we get another day like today then I can’t see any problem with the game going ahead.”

The covers were put back on at 4pm today, and will be removed at 8am tomorrow morning.
