Yorkston Calls For Spl Change
Dunfermline Chairman John Yorkston has joined Clyde and other First Division team’s side by publicly stated that the SPL should relax it’s rules relating to stadia. This followed further talks this week regarding the proposed new breakaway league for 2004, initiated by the “rebel 10 Clubs” resignation from the current setup.
Speaking to The Herald today, he said:-
“As far as I’m concerned, I’d like to play Raith Rovers and Falkirk on a regular basis. All the rules in the new league will be up for discussion and there’s no reason why the number of seats couldn’t be reduced to, say, 8000.”
