Advertising Department Change
The Club were disappointed to learn this week that Bob McPherson has decided not to take up the role of Advertising Manager, having been offered a position by the new Dundee United Board.
Director Gerry Dunn said – “Bob did a power of work during his time at Clyde and we are sad to see him go. We wish him all the best in his new job.”
Attracting new advertising revenue to the Club will, for the foreseeable future, be undertaken by David Mackinnon whilst the scope of the role is reviewed.
“Throughout my twelve month voluntary connection with Clyde,” explained Bob earlier today, “I have obviously had to earn income elsewhere and one of those sources has continued to be Dundee United for whom I produce the Tannadice Times quarterly newspaper. United have now asked me to do more for them again and with the new Board finally in place at Tannadice I have been delighted to accept.”
“Sadly it means I don’t have sufficient time to devote to Clyde in the way that I would like but I will continue to write for the programme for the rest of the season and keep an eye on my previous areas of involvement. The work done behind the scenes at Broadwood by a very small number of people, and I include the Directors in that, has been a revelation to me. They all deserve to be successful and I’m sure they will be.”
The principles that Bob brought through his “Target 2K” initiative, and a number of other areas, will continue to be adopted as part of the overall Clyde vision for the ongoing development of the Club.
