Fire Strike News

The impending Firefighter's strike should, thankfully, not affect Clyde's schedule in the coming weeks. There had been speculation that games may be cancelled as a result of the Fire Brigade Union's action.

Strikes will be in effect during these matches:-

2 November v Ross County (home)
9 November v St.Mirren (away)
7th December v St.Johnstone (home)
21st December v Q.O.S. (away)

The Club contacted the SFL this week, and a spokesperson said - "As long as the Club has a Fireplan and Fire Stewards then I don't see any problem with their games going ahead."

Clyde have confirmed that Broadwood does meet these requirements, and home games at least should go ahead as usual. However, it is believed that St.Mirren and Queen of the South are in a similar situation.

An Official at the Club said - "We will carry on as normal unless we are advised otherwise."
