Carrigan Has A Go At Kernaghan

Brian Carrigan yesterday sealed a two year deal at Raith Rovers after impressing in a trial, and vowed to repay the club on the park. Speaking in today’s Daily Record, Carrigan, still only 22, said:-

“I must admit I was not sure if another club would take a chance on me so I’m very thankful to Raith. The manager and the chairman have put faith in me. Hopefully I can repay them. I am just looking forward to getting my career going again and getting back on to the straight and narrow. I was in the Scotland Under 21 side a few years ago and I still feel confident I can get back to that level again.

He also criticised Alan Kenaghan for the way he handled his alleged incident in a pub, which led to him being released by Clyde:-

“He would have found out the truth if he had made the right inquiries.”
