Former Clyde striker Brian Crawford, released by the Club on 29 April, has been quickly snapped up by ex-Clyde captain John McVeigh, the new manager of Stenhousemuir.

Warriors boss McVeigh rates Brian highly and was delighted with his new capture. "I tried to sign Brian for Albion Rovers when he was still with Cumbernauld United but not surprisingly he took the chance to sign for Clyde."

John McVeigh has only been at Ochilview since April 27 and so far releasing players has been his predominant activity. Brian Crawford is his first signing as Stenny prepare for another and, thanks to the demise of Airdrieonians, unexpected season in the Second Division.
