Hide Match Report

The Bully Wee set up a Scottish Cup third round tie away to Ayr United, after a comfortable evening in Keith.

Danny Lennon made five changes to Saturday's side, with Ewan Otoo coming in for a debut, along with Jamie Bain, Scott Rumsby, Kevin Nicoll and Ally Love.

David Goodwillie had an early chance to open the scoring but he fired his effort over the bar. He did however break the deadlock in the 21st minute after getting on the end of Barry Cuddihy's ball, and turned inside a home defender before slotting his effort into the net.

Goodwillie then saw an effort saved by Greg Simpson, before the lead was doubled on 33 minutes. Cuddihy hooked a ball into the box and Scott Rumsby challenged the 'keeper for the loose ball, and was then able to turn and hit a shot into the empty net.

Clyde passed up a couple of more chances to increase their advantage before the interval; Simpson denied Ally Love from close range, and Mark Lamont blazed a volley over from just inside the box.

The Bully Wee continued to create chances in the second half but were unable to add to their tally, with Simpson pulling off stops from Goodwillie and Lewis Jamieson, and then the Clyde captain missed an open goal. He was played through by Jack Thomson and rounded Simpson, but the ball appeared to bounce up and he knocked his effort over the bar.

Thomson then went close with a drive from outside the box that went just past the post, and Ross Cunningham was denied by the leg of Simpson.

Keith created a chance late on to try and pull a goal back, but there were no takers for a low cross that flashed across the face of the goal.
