The Bully Wee picked up an important three points at Forfar this evening, with two goals from Lewis Jamieson and a third by fellow St. Mirren loan signing Josh Jack proving decisive.

The Loons had the first chance of the game when Scott Fenwick directed a glancing header on target but David Mitchell was able to hold it.

Ally Love then had an opportunity at the other end when he got in behind the home defence and got on the end of Barry Cuddihy's cross but put his shot over the bar.

Forfar took the lead seven minutes before the interval after breaking down the left. Jordan Allan got to the by-line and crossed into the box, where Fenwick was on hand to nip in ahead of Scott Rumsby and poke past Mitchell.

The Bully Wee however did not let their heads go down and responded immediately. Straight from kick off Lewis Jamieson played in David Goodwillie who ran through the home defence and fired an effort on target. Marc McCallum got a hand to it and the ball then struck the post before bouncing kindly for Jamieson to tap home, a mere 11 seconds after kick-off.

After the interval Ally Love saw a drive from over 30 yards ruffle the side netting but the lead was doubled just after the hour mark when Kevin Nicoll played a pass to Jamieson, who took the ball past two defenders before shooting for goal. McCallum again got a hand to the ball but couldn't prevent it from ending up in the net.

Ewan Otoo then had a low shot saved by McCallum and the Forfar 'keeper went on to deny Jamieson a hat-trick.

The points were sealed in the 82nd minute after Martin McNiff met a corner. He saw his header crash against the crossbar, but Josh Jack, who had just came on as a substitute, was on hand to nod the ball into the net with his first touch.
