The Bully Wee picked up an important three points this evening against Forfar Athletic, in what was only the second game to be played at Broadwood on a Thursday.

Danny Lennon made three changes to the side which picked up a point against Cove Rangers on Tuesday evening, with Tom Lang, Barry Cuddihy and David Goodwillie replacing Michael McGlinchey, Jack Thomson and Lewis Jamieson.

The Loons had the first chance of the evening when Callum Moore flicked the ball on for Grant Anderson to run through on goal, and he forced David Mitchell into a fine save to turn his effort behind for a corner.

The Bully Wee took the lead in the 18th minute after Goodwillie received a pass from Cuddihy, and jinked his way past defenders into the box, before curling a shot into the bottom corner with his left foot.

Marc McCallum was then called into action, and twice denied Ally Love from adding to the lead. He got both hands to a vicious strike from a wide angle, and then pulled off a similar stop from another powerful effort from distance.

A second goal did come a minute before the interval after Ewan Otoo beat two Forfar defenders down the left and fizzed a low cross across goal to Goodwillie at the back post, who slammed the ball into the net for his 90th Bully Wee goal.

The points were secured six minutes into the second half after Goodwillie latched onto a long ball down the right flank and cut into the box, squaring for Love. He was crowded out by defenders and couldn't get a shot away, but teed up Craig Howie on the edge of the box, and he rifled the ball past McCallum.

Clyde saw out the remainder of the game in a comfortable fashion and had a late flurry of chances to add to their tally. Howie almost got on the scoresheet again after gliding past two defenders but his left footed drive whistled past the post.

Tom Lang then carried the ball out from the back before passing to Mark Lamont, whose cross then looked it would be tapped into the net by Michael McGlinchey. A Forfar defender however got a vital touch to send the ball behind.
