The Bully Wee and Forfar Athletic played out a goalless draw for the second time this season, on a dreich afternoon at Broadwood.

Danny Lennon made three changes to the side that lost to Dumbarton last Saturday, with Kieran Duffie, Alex Petkov and Darren Smith returning to the starting line-up to replace Michael McMullin, Craig Howie and David Goodwillie, who missed out due to illness.

The first half was a fairly drab affair with chances at either end limited. Clyde came closest through Darren Smith after he turned and hit a shot in the centre of the box, but Forfar 'keeper Marc McCallum pulled off a good stop. Chris Johnston failed to connect with the rebound, before the ball was scrambled to safety.

The tempo picked up after the interval and McCallum was called into action again, saving Smith's effort from a wide angle and a long range drive from Chris McStay.

A slick passing move led to Chris Johnston playing Smith in one-on-one with McCallum, but he took perhaps one touch too many, and the 'keeper was able to block again.

The Bully Wee were then awarded a penalty on the hour mark, after Michael Travis barged Barry Cuddihy in the back. Ray Grant stepped up and went for power, with his spot kick clipping the top of the bar on it's way out of the stadium.

The Loons almost made the breakthrough after a counter attack. David Mitchell did well to save a blistering strike from Dale Hilson, and then Alex Petkov diverted the striker's follow-up attempt behind for a corner.

The visitors almost stole the points in the last minute when a corner fell to Callum Tapping in the middle of the box, but his volley went narrowly over the crossbar.
