Community Teams

The Clyde FC Community Team programme is delivered in line with the Clyde FC player pathway, which allows boys and girls to play football from age two through to adulthood in a structured development environment through a variety of programmes.  We believe in encouraging learning through football and developing boys and girls through active play.

Community Teams

The programme offers players from an early age the opportunity to play against other community teams from all over the Cumbernauld and surrounding areas in non-competitive matches at 4, 5 and 7-a-side before stepping up to play competitive 11-a-side matches in local SYFA affiliated leagues.

Our weekly sessions are outdoors on astroturf and are delivered by experienced and fully qualified Scottish Football Association coaches.  All coaches are members of the Protecting Vulnerable Group (PVG) scheme and each team has a qualified first-aider.

Coaching and participation in matches runs throughout the entire football season. Weekly coaching sessions of one hour duration are delivered at Broadwood Stadium or an alternative local venue. The sessions are delivered by a combination of volunteers, students and professional coaching staff.

Community Teams

Most of our players in our community teams have graduated from our Junior Academy.
