Willie was released by Rangers at the end of the 2008-09 season, during which he had a successful loan spell at Airdrie United. The versatile 20-year-old did well for Clyde during three matches as a trialist at the start of this campaign and the subsequent news of his signature until May 2010 was a big boost.
