Friendly Fills the Gap

Despite today's league fixture at Dumbarton being called off, John McCormack was quick to ensure that the squad saw some match action.

The Bully Wee met Vale of Clyde on Glasgow Green's synthetic surface this afternoon, after the Junior side's match at Irvine Meadow was also postponed.

The game finished 3-1 to Clyde, with Jordan White grabbing two goals and Willie McLachlan getting the other. A penalty provided Vale with their consolation goal, but more important than the score was the fact that the players were given valuable match practice.

There was no change to the Second Division table today, as the card was completely wiped out following a big freeze overnight.
