As well as the rallying of Clyde fans and the local community, the club has been delighted by the generous response of the football community in Scotland to its current plight.
A typical example of this can be seen below, in the form of a letter written to the official website by Airdrie United fan Gordon Wilson, published with his permission:-
I am an Airdrie fan and I am disgusted with North Lanarkshire Council's decision to evict Clyde from Broadwood.
We know what it feels like to lose a football club. As much as I would like to see Clyde relegated to ensure that we have a chance to stay up via the play-offs (as that's football) I would hate to see Clyde disappear from football altogether.
So, good luck in your fight for actual survival and I am sure that every decent Airdrie fan feels the same. I would like to think that our chairman would consider ground sharing, considering our history of sharing in the past.
Good luck.
Thanks for your honest comments, Gordon.
