Hot Rod!!
Roddy Hunter was the star today for Clyde with a five star performance. The local Condorrat lad hit a sparkling hat trick as Clyde swept aside their hosts by firing in four goals before the interval.
Hunter hit the opener, then a Keddie own goal and a Romauld Bouadji counter put Clyde on easy street before Hunter scored his second. The Bully Wee even had the luxury of missing a penalty, with Michael McGowan the culprit.
Clyde boss Graham Roberts did as he promised and rang the changes, making no fewer than seven alterations from the previous week's starting line up. Jarvie, Arbuckle, Harris, McHale, Hunter, Imrie and Masterton all came in. With Andy Dick on the bench it was a total of eight changes in the squad to face Stranraer.
Clyde finished the rout in the second half with Hunter getting his third of the afternoon in the 83rd minute.
The fringe players certainly staked their claim for a starting place and the Clyde management team will be boosted by this performance, as minds focus on the trip to Gretna on Tuesday. Full report later.
