Clyde finally overcame Alloa at the 13th attempt at Recreation Park yesterday with a convincing victory. The scoreline probably flattered the home side as Clyde dominated the match from start to finish, creating countless chances.
Simon Mensing delighted the large Clyde support by scoring an early headed opener and Colin Nish made it two just after. Total dominance followed for the rest of the half with chance after chance being spurned, but a sloppy goal conceded just before the half-time whistle meant the match wasn't secured until later. John Fraser and John Potter got the goals that clinched it.
