Airdrie United 3 v 3 Clyde

Clyde took on Airdrie United last night in a friendly that was designed to give some players on the fringes of the squad some match practice. Several of Clyde's Youth players also featured. Airdrie fielded a strong side which featured a number of first team players. Clyde lined-up as follows:-

Clyde raced to a 3-1 lead at half-time, with goals by Gilhaney and Cosgrove (2, 1pen). Airdrie came back strong in the second half and eventually earned themselves a draw. Particularly impressive for Clyde were Cosgrove, Gilhaney, Dunn and Halliday.

Assistant Manager Billy Reid said - "In the first-half we were excellent and played some quality football, but unfortunately we let our standards slip a little in the second 45."
