The Official Community Programme of Clyde FC

The Clyde FC School of Football was launched in 2006 and marked a new dawn as the club once again took direct control of our Community Football Programme, following a period when it had been outsourced. The set-up has been totally revamped and the new structure is a reflection of the collaboration across all facets of the club to produce clear links from Community through Youth Development to the senior team.

The Clyde FC School of Football provides coaching and football Development for boys and girls at different age groups. All our coaches are SFA qualified and are enhanced disclosure checked. The School of Football is affiliated to both the SYFA and the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Soccer Sevens League.

School of Football Ethos - Participation for All

The ethos of the Clyde FC School of Football is participation for all irrespective of creed, colour or ability.

The Community programme of course is primarily about providing a safe and friendly environment for kids as they learn the skills of this great game of football, whilst ensuring that they also have some fun along the way. Ability is certainly not a pre-requisite at this point and we would encourage all youngsters to come along and participate in the coaching sessions. However, any who do display the potential to progress in the game will have the opportunity to move onto the Youth Development ranks at age 12.

Equally, it's fair to say that those who don't quite demonstrate this level of ability will not be discarded and they can carry on in the community programme through all age groups up to Under-15. By that time it's anticipated that whilst they may struggle to continue playing organised football, they will be fully-fledged Clyde fans can make a career of supporting the Bully Wee!
